Quotes From the Film Boondock Saints

Two Irish brothers, Murphy and Connor, feel that theyve been authorized by God to clean up the underworld. Predictably a lot of blood, gore, and swear words follow. Each Boondock Saints quote given below is representative of the colorful dialogue that abounds in the film. Connor Well, a penny saved is worth two in the bush, isnt it? Connor You look like Mush-mouth from Fat Albert. Il Duce The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed? Monsignor And I am reminded, on this holy day, of the sad story of Kitty Genovese. As you all may remember, a long time ago, almost thirty years ago, this poor soul cried out for help time and time again, but no person answered her calls. Though many saw, no one so much as called the police. They all just watched as Kitty was being stabbed to death in broad daylight. They watched as her assailant walked away. Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men. Murphy Were sorta like 7-Eleven. Were not always doing business, but were always open. Murphy Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. Murphy [to a Russian gangster] So youre Chekov, huh? Well, this heres McCoy. Find a Spock, we got us an away team. Paul Smecker First of all, Id like to thank whichever one of you donut-munching, barrel-assed, pud-pulling sissies leaked this to the press. Thats all we need now: some sensational story in the papers making these guys out to be superheroes, triumphing over evil. Paul Smecker So Duffy, have any theories to go with that tie? Paul Smecker You know, you Irish cops are perking up. Thats two sound theories in one day, neither of which deal with abnormally-sized men. Kind of makes me feel like Riverdancing. Rocco Ill catch you on the flip side. Yakavetta The 90s are killing me. I shouldnt have done that. Youre not supposed to tell a guy youre gonna kill him no more.

Journal of Strategic Marketing Vol. 20, No. 4, July 2012, 289–312 The globalization of Tesla Motors: a strategic marketing plan analysis Myles Edwin Mangram* SMC University, Baarestrasse 112, 6302 Zug, Switzerland (Received 7 October 2011; final version received 10 January 2012) This case study provides analysis of the strategic marketing plan of electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla Motors. It has profound marketing management implications, as it addresses this investigation from the unique perspective of Tesla’s ‘new technology’based approach to automobile marketing and relates it to the successful marketing model of Apple Computer. This marketing approach is counter to the traditional automobile industry’s marketing management approach†¦show more content†¦These vehicles include advanced gas electric hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) (Mintzer, 2009). Gas electric hybrids, such as the pre-2004 Toyota Prius, are powered by gasoline and batteries but are not considered true ‘electric’ vehicles since they do not have a ‘plug-in’ charging feature. Plug-in hybrids (e.g. the Chevrolet Volt), rely in part on conventional fuels but are still designed to be recharged via the power grid. BEVs, such as Tesla’s Roadster, rely entirely on electricity and will be the focus of this report. Electric vehicle market overview Analysis of some of the most credible recent forecasts indicate that BEVs could account for as much as 53% of all electric vehicle sales through 2020 and 5% of total global automobile sales (Ashtiani et al., 2011; Week in Review, 2010). (See Figure 1.) At this stage of BEV industry development, forecasting future sales volumes is complicated and speculative. The sales prospects of the market are highly contingent upon various market drivers, which are discussed later. In any event, two leading studies detailing projected BEV production by the Boston Consulting Group and Deutsche Bank, predict annual sales of up to one million BEVs by 2015 in North America alone (Cunningham, 2009). Table 1 highlights several additional, credible medium-term average annual BEV global sales estimates. Peoples such as Rodin were stand foring adult females in pictures and sculptures sexually. Sexual activity was becomi ng something more than merely a agency of reproduction. Suddenly Adams was far, far off from his Puritan custom-bound life. Peoples were no longer motivated by faith, being saved by God, and traveling to heaven ; scientific discipline, engineering, money, and power had taken over the thrusts of adult male. Religion ( a common graduated table of the yesteryear ) had taken the backseat to science, engineering, money, power, and the new thoughts and art of sex ( all new graduated tables of the present and the hereafter ) . In resistance to the medieval Virgin, Adams saw a new Godhead the dynamo symbol of the modern history s lawless energies ( anova.org, 1 ) . Adams urgently wanted to larn about the new universe of engineering, the dynamos, yet he felt incapacitated to happen this new cognition and to grok it. Adams was overwhelmed by the engineering of the dynamos. When Adams saw the dynamo, it became a symbol of the hereafter, of eternity ( Adams, 380 ) . He began to experience the forty-foot dynamos as a moral force, much as early Christians felt the cross ( Adams, 380 ) . Like the alterations in art and gender, the engineering was catching faith. The dynamo, to Adams, has become a symbol of the unknown, of the hereafter without God and faith. This was Adams s greatest uncertainness ; traveling against all of his yesteryear and beliefs and traveling on into the unpredictable hereafter.
